Safety Glasses: If your place of work requires you to be in an environment where safety glasses are required.
Protective Sunglasses: If you work outdoors, and in harmful sunlight which exposes you to the risk of eye damage.
Some points to consider when claiming a tax deduction:
1) You must be able to show that wearing certified safety glasses has a direct and immediate connection to your place of work.
2) Adequately protects you from a real (or likely) risk of injury or illness.

Not working on a site? That's okay - UV from sunlight is always damaging, so you may be eligible for a tax deduction irrespective of your sites requirements.

SafeStyle offers this official collection bin to help you set up a professional and easily identifiable point of collection for your customer base or workforce.
This bin fits approximately 12kg of protective eyewear waste, depending on the brand and styles being discarded. This should cover you for approximately 300 pairs of protective eyewear.
If you have the ability to collect these larger quantities of protective eyewear often then these bins are an ideal option for you.
NOTE: These bins do not include the cost of returning the protective eyewear, this is a bin cost only, please see our Collect & Win : Recycling Label’s for more information on how to return collected protective eyewear. If you are purchasing a bin for a mining or remote based project, please contact recycling@safestyle.com.au as this will most likely require a different shipping strategy and costing
