SafeStyle have disrupted the safety game, to put it simply we weren't born from a multinational mega company. We were born out of Tim's single bedroom where he hustled outside his normal day to day life as a full time Plumb dog.
As we grow we've made a few promises:
We won't forget about our humble beginnings.
We won't forget about the people or planet that we live with.
We won't forget to thrive from the worksite to the weekend.
Below are just some of our efforts we're making to keep our promises, there's plenty more, we just don't keep track of them all.
The Planet
RECYCLING
WITH TERRACYCLE
We’ve made getting started with the SafeStyle Recycling Program easy! Simply drop off any brand of protective eyewear at any participating workwear stores – in-store collections will then be sent for recycling.
Alternatively, you can set up a collection box at home, or at your local school, sporting or community group. Once you've collected you pairs, head to the SafeStyle website and purchase a Recycling Return Label. We've made this super easy and we subsidise it so that it's affordable.

REPLANTING
NATIVE BUSH
Carbon offsetting can get a bad wrap when big corporations abuse it but let’s help you understand why it’s necessary and how it can really work. SafeStyle has a carbon footprint; this comes from any activity we do that produces greenhouse gas emissions (usually CO2 and/or Methane). Whether it’s during manufacturing of our products, transport to get them to us, and you, or even just an employee going about their daily work at head office or on the road.
Carbon offsetting is what we can do to make up for this Carbon footprint. We invest in projects that actively remove or prevent greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere. There are a bunch of different ways to do this such as renewable energy, carbon capture technology etc but we’ve chosen to restore and replant native bush.

REDESIGNING
THE NORM
At SafeStyle we are committed to future proofing our products. Our products are designed and engineered to last, with an ongoing focus on making the overall process circular. This means we’re thinking about the impact they have from when they are manufactured to after they leave your eyes.
We have 3 main areas we encapsulate this in:
1. Reduce
2. Recycle
3. Repurpose

The People
NATIONWIDE PARTNERSHIPS
I first started SafeStyle, I had always wanted to create a brand that could give back to the community and people in need. To think back to where we started in 2017 and now partnering with the National Breast Cancer Australia and Lifeline Australia is something the whole SafeStyle team are very proud of.
To all our valued SafeStylers who choose to purchase a charity pair, thank you so much for your support, we've now together donated over $400K!

ART SERIES: VOLUME 1
FRANCIS WATSON
SafeStyle have partnered with artist Francis Watson who is from a small remote community in the Tanami Desert called Balgo in Western Australia.
Art holds a special place in Balgo and in many indigenous communities where it serves as a celebration of culture and a powerful form of expression. The hand painted artwork on this pair of SafeStyles tell a story of Ngurra (home). The three red circles represent three WA communities, Balgo, Billiluna and Mulan.
The red line signifies the journey between the communities and a strong connection that the people have with their land.

Our Community
THE JOURNEY
SafeStyle® stands as a certified fashion-forward, innovative protective eyewear company marking a revolutionary shift in the industry. The collision of design, safety, sustainability, form and function has redefined the protective eyewear game forever.
Founded by Tim Lewis, a former plumber of 8 years, who was inspired to create SafeStyle after catching a glimpse of himself in the rear-view mirror wearing cheap throwaway safety glasses, this encounter was the spark that started it all.
As SafeStyle evolved, it became clear that individuals and companies alike shared a common dissatisfaction with their safety eyewear. Disposable, undesirable and uncomfortable protective eyewear was soon to be a thing of the past...
