All protective eyewear supplied by Safestyle Pty Ltd (SAFESTYLE®) is constructed of polycarbonate frames and polycarbonate lens.
Each component of SAFESTYLE® eyewear is individually quality checked before being packaged and sold.
Whilst polycarbonate is the most scratch resistant lens material available for protective eyewear, it is not scratch proof.
NON-PRESCRIPTION PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR
All SAFESTYLE® non-prescription protective eyewear includes a warranty as set out by the SafeStyle Warranty Policy. These warranty terms are strictly subject to the policy and included verifying proof of purchase (invoice)
Except for loss or damage caused by gross negligence (duty of care) or wilful misconduct (as reasonably determined by SAFESTYLE®), if the product is deemed faulty and you notify us in writing within 30 days (from date of purchase), SAFESTYLE® will replace the product with the equivalent product purchased free of charge (including return delivery).
In addition, the SafeStyle® 30-day warranty policy does not cover:
- any modifications or repairs not authorised by SafeStyle®
- damage caused by misuse, neglect, or carelessness (e.g., scratches from dropping, lenses damage due to being left in high temperatures)
- damage caused by natural disaster
- accidental loss or theft
- Eyewear stored outside of Supplied Pouch
PRESCRIPTION PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR
All SAFESTYLE prescription protective eyewear includes a warranty as set out by the SAFESTYLE Warranty Policy attached.
It should be noted that the medium impact certified prescription safety glasses are certified to Australian and New Zealand standards 1337.6 and the manufacturer warranties are specific for these countries.
SAI global fail-safe warranty applies to the certified prescription safety products.
SAFESTYLE prescription products are made to the customer’s exact specifications, so no refunds or exchanges are available to customers for change of mind, hence all products are final sale.
All warranty requests need to be specified at the time of return, and fall within the required timeframe, and follow the appropriate credit procedure.
All Warranty claims are valid for one claim only - on the original set of lenses.
Lenses deemed not mistreated, as reasonably determined by SAFESTYLE, but rendered unusable due to manufacturer fault, will have the complete pair replaced to the same specifications, within a period of 180 days from original purchase.
All prescription lenses are custom made to the individual. In the event of non-adaption to the progressive design, SAFESTYLE will replace the complete frame and lens with an alternative lens to the same prescription, within 60 days free of charge.
Note – For Online purchases - Single vision will be the only option available for non-adaptation
In the event of a prescription change SAFESTYLE will replace the complete fame and lens at a 50% discount, within 60 days.
Note - This courtesy discount of the RX costs, including extras, will be made on prescription lenses due to professional error, (i.e., changes to power, axis, add, tints, segment location or change in lens style). Professional error may not be used if a non-adaption warranty has already been claimed.
All fitting of lenses is to be done by the SAFESTYLE certified lab and any variation to this policy voids the warranty. Safety frame and lenses cannot be ‘repaired’ and doing so voids both the certification and the warranty.
Polycarbonate, although the strongest available lens material can be detrimentally affected by chemical exposure, and it is suggested that care be taken to avoid chemical vulnerability.
Frames and lenses showing signs of mistreatment will have the warranty voided.
Complete pair is defined as, new frame lens and coatings to match the original order.
SAFESTYLE prescription frame and coatings are subject to 180-day manufacturer’s warranty.
IN ADDITION, The SAFESTYLE warranty policy does not cover the following:
• Damage caused by natural disaster
• Accidental loss or theft
• Eyewear stored outside of supplied hard case.
DUTY OF CARE TIPS
a) Lenses should be cleaned with a microfibre cloth. Do not use towels, clothing, or other fabrics, as these can damage the lens and may cause rub marks or scratches over time. Use a lens-safe spray or water only. Excessive exposure to heat or storing your glasses in hot environments may damage the lens surface and coatings.
b) Avoid excessive rubbing of the lens and avoid corrosive materials i.e., chlorine-treated water, salt water or aerosol sprays containing propane such as hair spray, paints, solvents, and sun cream. If any of these substances do touch your lenses, clean them with the microfibre lens cloth and either water or a lens-safe spray.
c) Always keep sunglasses in their protective case when you are not wearing them. Extreme heat or cold may cause lens or frame damage. Avoid leaving them in a car on a hot day.
These warranty terms are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
