WHAT IS COVERED:

MANUFACTURING DEFECTS
Manufacturing defects as determined by SafeStyle®, will have the complete pair replaced to the same specifications, within a period of 12 months from original purchase.

LENS COATINGS
All Coatings are subject to a 2 year manufacturers warranty from original order date. Warranty does not include scratching, heat damage or any other form of mistreatment and general wear and tear. Warranty replacement lenses must be the
same prescription and specifications as the original.

WARRANTY AND CLAIM PERIODS
Warranty claims for manufacturing defects must be received within 12 months of the original order. Coating claims must be received within 2 years of the original order date.

CANCELLED / ALTERED ORDERS
SafeStyle processes all orders immediately upon receipt.

IN ADDITION, The SafeStyle® warranty policy does not cover the following:
• Damage caused by natural disaster
• Accidental loss or theft
• Eyewear stored outside of supplied hard case.
• Chemical exposure including sunscreen
• Accidental damage to the frame and / or lens
• Wear and Tear/Scratch

CLAIMS PROCESS:

If you purchased from one of our stockists you must claim the warranty via the retailer from which the product was purchased.

To make a warranty claim, please email enquiries@safestyle.com.au with the below information:

• Order Number / Confirmation
• Provide a full description of the fault
• Provide photo(s) of the fault

You will be notified via email once your claim request has been received and you will be communicated next steps.

SafeStyle® may request the warrantied product to be returned where appropriate at your own cost.

If your claim is successful and you returned your product to us, you will be refunded your shipping costs. Returns usually take 18 business days once approved.

SafeStyle® prescription safety glasses are custom made to order using your personal prescription details.
For this reason, they cannot be returned or exchanged if you change your mind or if you entered incorrect details when ordering.

Incorrect Prescription or Vision Concerns

If you experience an issue with your vision when using your glasses:

• Our team may request a copy of your valid prescription to check against your order.
• If you do not have an up-to-date prescription, we recommend booking an eye test at one of our partner optometrists.
  Once you have a valid prescription, we can assist in updating your glasses.

With your SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses you'll also get a micro fibre pouch a SafeStyle®️ Hard case, a SafeStyle®️ lanyard and your certification certificate.

No, SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses must be bought as a complete unit with frame and lenses made together. Supplying the frame or lens separately voids our safety certification and does not comply to the Australian Standards. The TRXE frames used for prescription are a different material designed to withstand the fitting process and provide a comfortable wearing experience specific to our prescription customers. Fitting a prescription lens to a non-prescription frame not only voids the certification (safety properties of the pair) but also voids any warranty.

If your order is less than 1 hour from time of purchase, please contact enquiries@SafeStyle.com.au for assistance. Otherwise, if your SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses have started in the manufacturing process, or have already been shipped to you, there is no option to change any details. Changing the
frame or lens on an existing pair, voids the safety certification and does not
comply with Australian Standards and also voids the warranty.

All SafeStyle®️ prescription safety lenses are produced with materials that meet Australian Standards for impact resistance. For those with a higher prescription, it is not possible to thin the lenses. Higher Index materials are needed for thinner lenses; however, these materials can’t be used due to there lack of impact protection. 

If your SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses need adjustment - head to one of our prescription stockists, they should be able to reshape the frames to your liking!

Buying Multifocal/Progressive safety glasses online can be tricky due to the complex customisation options.

Measurements: Multifocal/Progressive lenses require exact measurements of Pupillary Distance (PD) and Segment Height. Segment height is specific to how a frame sits on your face, which is difficult to determine without trying on a frame in person.

Lens Customisation: Multifocal/progressive lenses need to be tailored to your prescription and how your eyes move when you switch between distance, intermediate and reading zones.

To order Multifocal/Progressive lenses, you will need to visit one of our Optometry stockists. We are only able to offer Single Vision corrections through our online store. Find your nearest prescription stockist here!

No, we do not offer replacement frames OR lenses. This voids our safety certification and does not comply with Australian Standards. Safety Glasses are produced as complete pairs only.

You can measure your Pupillary Distance (PD) using the Eye Measure app on iOS/Android. Alternatively, you can visit your optometrist.

Distance PD is used for viewing objects at a distance (Single Vision Distance Lens), while Near PD is used for viewing objects up-close (Single Vision Near Lens. These measurements are used when producing your lenses to ensure optimal visual acuity.

OD: Oculus Decter - This is latin for Right Eye.

OS: Oculus Sinister - This is latin for Left Eye.

Prism is a measurement used to improve binocular vision comfort. A Prism measurement is prescribed by your optometrist if needed.

Prism is included in a prescription to help the eyes comfortably co-ordinate the image binocularly. Base Up or Down refers to vertical alignment correction, while Base In or Out refers to horizontal alignment correction.

Add is used for reading additions. This is extra power used to correct presbyopia. It is common for prescriptions to include reading addition values as it is primarily used in progressive lens applications or Single Vision reading.

The Cylinder (CYL) refers to the amount of lens power which is needed to correct an astigmatism. This helps correct blurred or distorted vision as a result of irregular shaped ocular structures like the cornea or lens. This is a very common condition.

PD refers to your Pupillary Distance. This is the measured distance between the pupil centre of your right and left eye. This measurement is used to position the optical lens centre of your glasses directly in front of your pupil centre for optimal visual acuity and comfort. You may have two values for your PD, one for near applications and one for distance applications.

The Sphere (SPH) refers to the amount of lens power which is needed to correct your far-sightedness or near-sightedness. A SPH measurement is used to apply a optical power across the entire lens.

The Axis refers to the direction of your astigmatism. This is measured in degrees and is used by our lab to apply the correct astigmatic power to your lenses for optimal visual acuity.

Single vision distance lenses are prescription glasses designed to correct vision at one specific range - typically for seeing distant objects clearly.

They are ideal for people with refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness) and are commonly worn for driving, watching TV, or seeing clearly when you're outdoors. These lenses feature one, uniform prescription across the entire lens, providing consistent clarity for distance vision.

Single Vision Near lenses are used to correct your near vision to see things up-close like reading. They're for people who suffer from hyperopia (farsightedness).

In most cases, a prescription can be used for both long and short vision correction and prescription safety glasses can be used for all your optical needs. If you are unsure, seek advice from your optometrist.

No, If your prescription has expired, please see your optometrist for an updated script. Using expired scripts can cause inferior visual acuity and visual discomfort. It is suggested that you use an updated prescription for any purchase for the best visual experience and longevity.

For our SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses range, yes - you must have a optical prescription. You may be contacted upon ordering if the script is unusable or requires attention. Otherwise, contact your optometrist for advice.

No, contact lens prescriptions are measured differently to prescription glasses. Please ensure you have a script for glasses - this will ensure visual acuity.

Your Prescription Safety Glasses should be replaced every 24 months, which is valid age of your Prescription. Some prescriptions are valid for less than 24 months, depending on your visual condition.

Replace your SafeStyle®️ prescription safety glasses when necessary. This includes:

Your Safety Glasses have been involved with any impact while wearer or not wearing your Safety Glasses, including being dropped on the ground or against hard services.

Any lens surface marks that impair your vision, such as scratches or cracks.

Any lens surface stain that impairs your vision, such as paint or other
liquid or chemicals.

Please note: rules on replacement safety glasses may vary by site. Check with your health and safety representative for more information specific to you.

Generally - If you are unable to interpret your script when ordering - you can upload your prescription file instead to ensure correct production. If you want to understand how the measurements apply to you - it’s always best to speak to your optometrist for personalised advice.

If your script doesn’t have a PD - you should contact your optometrist. Otherwise, there are online resources where you can measure PD by yourself, at home. "Eye measure" is an app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play store that provides an accurate measurement.

Super Hard Coat (Included as standard): All our lenses feature a durable anti-scratch coating that enhances scratch resistance vs a standard lens for long-lasting protection in both work and leisure environments. Please note that no lens surface or coating is 100% scratch resistant.

VP Multi Coat + Anti Reflective: A durable anti-scratch coating combined with a hydrophobic layer that repels water, oil, and dirt—keeping lenses cleaner and easier to maintain. The anti-reflective treatment also includes a back-surface coating that absorbs light reflected off the rear of the lens, such as sunlight entering from the side while driving, for example. This reduces glare and prevents potentially harmful UV light from reflecting into the eye, improving visual comfort and protection

UV Filter: Combines all the properties and benefits of a hard multi coat. Including anti-bacterial protection and additional UV blocker to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation that may reflect back off the surface of the lens

Blue Light: Hard Multi Coated UV lenses, with added UV and blue light filters, provide comfortable vision and reduce eye strain from prolonged blue light exposure. To add blue light lenses - this should be selected in the "choose your lenses" menu rather than the coating menu!

Optical prescriptions are generally usable from 2 years from issue. If you are unsure if your prescription is current, you should contact your optometrist. Using expired scripts can cause inferior visual acuity and visual discomfort.
